Larry Snitzler in Recital - Summer Serenade--Music of Moreno-Torroba and Villa-Lobos

It's August and the height of DC's Summer heat and humidity. The perfect time to come to the beautiful, soothing and cooling sanctuary of the historic New York Avenue Presbyterian Church, two blocks from the White House, where Larry Snitzler will serenade you with lovely music by Federico Moreno-Torroba and Heitor Villa-Lobos, in an acoustical environment that is nearly perfect for the guitar!

Andrés Segovia and the Guitar Today - João Figueirôa – Larry Snitzler

The Eclipse, 3600 Glebe Road, Crystal City, VA

João Figueirôa, the young Brazilian virtuoso and Larry Snitzler, who has performed in 20 countries and who knew Andrés Segovia personally for 25 years, will offer a three-hour presentation discussing the importance of the great Spanish master, both in the past, and for today's generation of guitarists. Mr. Snitzler will play solos by Moreno-Torroba, Villa-Lobos and Segovia; the program will conclude with João and Larry performing a duet written by Andrés Segovia.
